Iowa Sensory Reinforcement Library Sensory Reinforcement Library Description The Reinforcement Toys Library is a variety of materials that can be used to reinforce behavior during instructional sessions with children 2 to 22 years. These materials provide sensory experiences in the area of visual, auditory, olfactory, and tactile input. We know that this population has unique sensory needs that make learning for them different than those with typical development. These materials can be sent to instructional settings for staff use in short-term teaching, progress/performance/generalization data monitoring, or assessing reinforcement needs of individuals with autism. They can be used to assist the development of appropriate individualized educational programs for those with sensory needs. These will be sent to parents and professionals with residence in Iowa. Consumers interested in these materials on short term loan can submit the on-line inventory list form or contact the Autism Services Program (phone 319-356-4619; fax 319-356-3715.
