Homecoming Reunion Weekend 2010
There have been many changes both to medical education and the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine since your medical school days. We invite you to celebrate your reunion with us and see all of the changes. While you are here you will visit with classmates, friends and faculty emeriti, tour our Medical Education and Research Facility, and enjoy a weekend on the beautiful campus of the University of Iowa. The MD Classes of 1975, 1980, 1985, 1990 and 2000 as well as the Iowa Minority Medical Alumni are invited to join us back on campus for these Homecoming activities. Here are a few things to help you get started in making plans to attend this special reunion.

Blocks of rooms have been reserved at these hotels for reunion attendees. To reserve a room please contact the hotel directly and identify yourself as a participant of the Homecoming Reunion Weekend. Room reservations will be taken on a first come, first served basis. Rates per night and room release dates are listed below. Reservations must be made prior to the release dates. - Two-Day Continuing Medical Education Program
Marriott Hotel and Conference Center, Coralville
- Each year, the UI Carver College of Medicine’s Continuing Medical Education office assembles a program designed to provide useful solutions to current questions, calling on outstanding educators in clinical departments throughout the University of Iowa as well as expert alumni to present. Practical, hands-on workshops conclude each year’s program, adding important new expertise to participant’s clinical skills. AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ will be available. - This is a great chance to interact with some of the college's current minority medical students. This program gives the opportunity to discuss common challenges with students, the importance of diversity in health care and the impact of mentoring. We hope you'll participate in this fun and educative event!
- MD Alumni Social - No Charge
7:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. Levitt Center for University Advancement
- Join us after the parade for an MD alumni social! This is a great chance to meet up with your classmates and enjoy some hors d'oeuvres and drinks. Make plans to meet your friends there!

- UI Carver College of Medicine MD Program and Reunion Lucheon - $15/person

- With the game being the first ever Homecoming night game, we have a unique opportunity to provide a great program in the mornig followed by a lunch with your classmates. We will also have the chance to showcase our UI Gross Anatomy to children during our Junior Mini Medical School Program that will take place in conjunction with the MD Program ad Reunion Luncheon. Bring your kids along to learn about the world of medicine. We can’t wait to see you there!

- While you enjoy the MD Program and Reunion Luncheon we will showcase our UI Gross Anatomy to your children. We hope that you’ll bring your kids along to learn about the world of medicine.
- UI Carver College of Medicine All Alumni Pre-game Tailgate - No Charge
4:30 - 6:30 p.m.- Medical Education and Research Facility (MERF)
- For the past 7 years we’ve had an average of over 400 attendees at our Homecoming tailgate, so you can look forward to seeing many of your friends there! Come join your classmates, as well as other alumni, faculty, students and friends for a fantastic tailgating experience.
