    Research Interests

HER2+ breast cancer account for 25-30% of total invasive ductal breast carcinomas and is associated with a poor clinical prognosis. Elucidation and characterization of tumor-initiating cell populations in the Her2+ breast cancer represent a gateway into improving targeted-therapies. My current focus is cellular and genetic response to tyrosine kinase inhibitors and the interrelation of the NIK/IKKα module in drug resistance.
