MRI interns must apply for financial aide as any regular student. They will be given aid based on the total number of hours they will enroll as indicated on either thier UI verification form or summer application form.
Interns must be at least half time to receive aid. (Fall/Spring = 6 semester hours and Summer = 3 semester hours)
Aid will be processed using regular University of Iowa term dates, as indicated on financial aide web site. If intern will be attending the summer session a separate summer application is required. Summer applications are available once summer registration begins.
Any excess financial aid funds remaining after UI bill has been paid will not be available to intern until the regular university terms begin. Be aware that this is about one month after the internship itself begins. Direct questions to the financial aide department.
