Students and postdocs in department receive travel awards to attend EB 2013 Conference

Biswanath Maity, Ph.D. postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Rory Fisher's laboratory, received a Vere D. Wenger Travel Award for his project entitled "RGS6 Functions as a Novel Suppressor of Tumor Initiation and Progression in a Mouse Model of Breat Carcinogenesis."

Chunyan Hu, Ph.D. postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Curt Sigmund's laboratory, received a Caroline tum Suden/Frances Hellebrandt Professional Opportunity Award for her project entitled "Interference with PPARgamma in Endothelium Accelerates Angiotensin II-mediated Vascular Dysfunction."

Ken Muta, B.S. graduate student in Dr. Kamal Rahmouni's laboratory, received a Caroline tum Suden/Frances Hellebrandt Professional Opportunity Award for his project entitled "Hypothalamic mTOR Pathway Mediates Neuronal Actions of Insulin."

Jacqueliene Reilly, B.S. graduate student in Dr. Ray Hohl's laboratory, received an ASPET award for her project entitled "Development of selective inhibitors of the isoprenoid biosynthetic pathway and their effects on human-derived chronic myelogenous leukemia cells."
