Aspiration

Minimum:

Slides labeled with the patient name.  4-5 air dried slides and 1-2 
slides fixed immediately with cell spray fixative (available on floors 
and in clinics).  Deliver to the lab.  After 1700 daily, weekends and 
holidays, deliver to Specimen Control (6240 RCP).

3 days

Reference Range:

The pathologist will provide an interpretative report.

Comments:

The requisition with complete patient history and specific request for
identification of amyloid must accompany the specimen.
