Blood
Collection Medium:
Heparinized syringe or Green top tube (Na Heparin) 


Minimum:


0.5 ml in Lithium/Sodium Heparin syringe or,
1 ml whole blood in Lithium/Sodium Heparin green top tube


Delivery Instructions:


Deliver to laboratory within 1 hour of collection.


Testing Schedule:


24 hrs/day, 7 days a week, including holidays.


Analytic Time:


10 minutes (upon receipt in laboratory)


Reference Range:


Non-smoker    1 - 3%
Smoker        4 - 8%


Comments:


All needles must be removed from the syringe before delivery.
