By report

Low levels of C1q indicate either increased consumption (catabolism) or 
decreased synthesis.


Test
Limitations:


C1q concentrations may be decreased in patients with acquired 
angioedema, immune complexed induced vasculitis, and concurrent low 
concentrations of C1 inhibitor, carcinoma, or lymphoma.
