Collection Medium:

Minimum:

Preferred Minimum:  50 mL of aliquot of well mix 24 hr collection.
Pediatric Minimum:  10 mL of aliquot of well mix 24 hr collection.

24 hr collection; with 25 ml 6N HCl as preservative or random urine 
without preservative.  For peds, contact Pharmacy for correct amount of 
HCl.

Comments:

If screening for Neuroblastoma, the following tests need to be ordered: 
CATNBSU (Catecholamines, Fractionated), DOPNBSU (Dopamine), HVANBSU 
(Homovanillic Acid), METNBSU (Metanephrines), VMANBSU (Vanillylmandelic 
Acid).

VMA, Catecholamines, HVA, Dopamine and Metanephrines may be done on 
same collection.  All five tests may be done on same collection.
