Adult preferred minimum: 1 mL serum or lithium heparin plasma collected 
from 3 mL whole blood

Adult absolute minimum: 0.6 mL serum or lithium heparin plasma 
collected from 1.8 mL whole blood

Pediatric minimum: 0.4 mL serum or lithium heparin plasma collected 
from 1.2 mL whole blood

Interpretive Data:
