Comments:


This test is done to evaluate pancreatic insufficiency. The test is
done in endoscopy and is scheduled via GI consult. Specimens of
aspirate sent to the laboratory will be analyzed for bicarbonate and
pH. Requisition should include patient weight, amount of secretin
administered, sample time and volume.
