Call laboratory for additional acceptable specimen collection 
containers.

Minimum:

5 mL whole blood from light green top tube or three light green top 
microtubes for pediatric patients.

Rejection Criteria:

Specimens with a hemolytic index >500 are not acceptable

Testing Schedule:

0700-1530 Monday through Friday.  For additional services, 
contact Clinical Pathology Resident on-call at pager #3404.

Analytic Time:

4 days

Comments:

May be ordered separately. All repeatedly positive serums for hepatitis 
C antibody will be frozen for one month.  If supplemental testing is 
desired, please contact the laboratory.
