Glaucoma drug helps women with IIH, a blinding disorder linked to obesity

A NIH-funded study involving UI vision researchers shows that combining a drug treatment with a weight-reduction diet can restore lost vision.
Dr. Michael Wall, a UI professor of neurology and ophthalmology is the director of the Neuro-Ophthalmology Research Disease Investigator Consortium (NORDIC) study. Dr. Reid Longmuir is the UI site principle investigator, Dr. Randy Kardon the treating subinvestigator, and Trina Eden the site coordinator.
