Cheyanne Lester, a 2013 graduate of the Orthoptic Training Program at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, returned to her childhood home in northeast Iowa and is now treating patients with the same eye condition she had as a child.

She was featured on KCRG’s 5 o’clock news on December 12th.

Her story was featured in local media. Lester is the 2013 Scobee Award winner, a national honor given to the Orthoptist receiving the highest score on their national board exams.
