Welcome to the Writing Program
Lindy Buck '10, Jill Moore '08, Annette Lopez '10, Micheil Cannistra '11 and John Lee '11 display the bowls they made during a pottery class in March of 2008.
The Carver College of Medicine Writing Program provides individual consultations for medical students to review residency and scholarship personal statements, CVs, research papers and abstracts, patient notes, learning issues, presentations, creative writing, extracurricular materials, correspondence, recommendations, and any other form of writing. The program also offers elective courses in literature and writing.
The program also coordinates extracurricular activities for medical students involving literature, music, and the visual and performing arts. Please check out our past writing and humanities events.
Located in 1193 MERF, the Writing Lab houses two computers and a laser printer for students, the Writing Program Library, and the student-run newspaper Vital Signs. The space also provides support for Major Grooves and the Medical Student Humanities Interest Group.
