UI to commemorate the naming of the Stephen A. Wynn Institute for Vision Research

This Friday, October 18, University of Iowa President Sally Mason will commemorate the naming of the UI Stephen A. Wynn Institute for Vision Research on the campus of the UI. The Institute is named in honor of Mr. Wynn’s $25 million gift commitment, which has significantly accelerated the organization’s mission to prevent and cure blinding eye diseases that affect millions of people worldwide.
Faculty, staff, students, media and the public are welcome to attend.
WHAT: A special celebration to commemorate the naming of the University of Iowa Stephen A. Wynn Institute for Vision Research and the Steven W. Dezii Translational Vision Research Facility. A reception will follow in the atrium outside of the auditorium.
WHEN: Friday, October 18, 2013, 1:30 p.m.
WHERE: Prem Sahai Auditorium, Medical Education and Research Facility (MERF), Room 1110 375 Newton Road, across from the Newton Road Ramp on the UI medical campus.
