Health science research week call for posters

Registration is open for the annual UI Health Sciences Research Week poster sessions. The 2013 Health Sciences Research Week, which is sponsored by the Carver College of Medicine, College of Pharmacy, College of Public Health, Iowa Institute for Clinical and Translational Science and VA Health System, will focus on “Molecules and Mental Illness” with presentations from Kenneth S. Kendler, MD of the Virginia Commonwealth University, Andrew P. Feinberg, MD, MPH of Johns Hopkins University and H. Sebastian Seung, PhD of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

There will be two poster sessions taking place as a part of Research Week. Graduate, Medical and PharmD students are invited to submit posters for display on April 16 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Postdoctoral Fellows, Faculty and staff are invited to do the same at another poster session on April 17 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Both poster sessions will take place in the Medical Education and Research Facility (MERF) Atrium. Presenters will be assigned a poster number, which will be available at the coordinator’s desk. Posters must be ready for posting at 1:00 p.m. and remain posted until 4:00 p.m. In addition, presenters must be available to answer questions during the entire poster session.

Those interested in presenting posters can find poster specifications, printing resources and register online here. Poster registrations are due by March 27 at 12:00 p.m. Space is limited so early registration is encouraged.
