SSTP student in Okeoma lab wins Best Imagery Award

On July 25, 2014, Aidan Wang of Mercer Island High School in Mercer Island, WA, was awarded the Belin-Blank Center, Secondary Student Training Program (SSTP) Best Imagery Award for his research poster presentation titled “Examination of the role of semen-derived exosomes on HIV-1 infectivity.” Aidan is an 11th grade student who conducted mentored summer research in the laboratory of Dr. Chioma M. Okeoma, Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology. Aidan shadowed Dr. Nia Madison, a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Dr. Okeoma’s lab.
