Current Lab Positions
We are looking for enthusiastic undergraduate students, graduate students, and post-doctoral fellows to join our group.

We are working at the interface between Biology, Computational Science, Engineering and Medicine. We are interested in molecular interaction networks in a variety of cellular processes and diseases. Within this broadly-defined research area, we focus most of our effort on understanding gene regulatory networks and molecular pathways in human diseases.

We enjoy close collaborations with several local groups at the University of Iowa as well as groups at the University of California, San Diego and Washington University, Saint Louis. Some of the ongoing projects tackle problems in Regulatory Genomics, Cancer Biology, and Molecular Evolution.

UIowa graduate students
We welcome enthusiastic students to join our group!

Individuals interested in pursing a graduate degree should apply through one of the following programs at the University of Iowa:

Biosciences Program

Biomedical Engineering

Biostatistics

Applied Mathematical and Computational Sciences

Statistics and Acturial Science

Postdoc positions
The postdoc positions are open for those with a proven track record of research achievement as evidenced by pulications in peer-viewd journals in both computational and/or experimental biology.

To Apply
Suitable individuals are strongly encouraged to contact Kai (kai-tan@uiowa.edu). Please include your CV, a list of references, and a brief research statement.
