    Awards and Honors 

    • Aparna Kamath and Beth Bender were recipients of the You Made a Different Award from the University of Iowa for their work with the 6RC Team STEEPS (Strategies and Tools to Enhance Performance and Patient Safety) and SIBR (Structured Interdisciplinary Bed Round) projects.
    • Rebecca Davis was awarded Clinician of the Year by the University of Iowa Physicians (UIP).
    • Mark Wilson received the 2013 ACP Laureate Award from the Iowa Chapter of the ACP (American College of Physicians).
    • Terry Wahls was selected as a Woman of Influence by the Corridor Business Journal.
    • Justin Smock was recognized during the Medical Education Day Celebration for his key role in medical eduction.
    • Peter Kaboli was the recipient of the 2013 Excellence in Program Development Award from the Department of Internal Medicine. Ann Broderick was also nominated for this award.
    • Aparna Kamath was awarded the Quality Improvement and Clinical Performance Award from the Department of Internal Medicine. Peter Kaboli, Krista Johnson, and Justin Smock were also nominated for this award.
    • Chris Goerdt was nominated for the Excellence in Referring Physician Relations Award from the Department of Internal Medicine.
    • Ann Broderick was appointed the Department of Internal Medicine’s Outstanding Physician Award. Katie Harris was nominated for this award.
