Ahmed appointed to international task force

Azeem Ahmed, MD, MBA has been appointed to the Society for Academic
Emergency Medicine (SAEM) International Task Force. SAEM members may
apply for task force appointment on a yearly basis at which time the
incoming President-Elect makes the appointment decisions of task force
chairs and members. Throughout his year-long appointment, Ahmed will be
working within the task force on strategic objectives identified by SAEM
to advance the field of emergency medicine.
The SAEM mission is to lead the advancement of emergency care through
education and research, advocacy and professional development in
academic emergency medicine. It attempts to achieve this mission by
influencing health policy through a variety of avenues including forums,
publications, policy development and inter-organization collaboration.
Thus, the detailed work of SAEM’s task forces enables the organization
to advance the academic specialty.
