Allison Legler, MD, Joins the Faculty
Allison Legler, MD, joined the University of Iowa Dermatology faculty in August 2012 and is excited to be working at the new Iowa River Landing (IRL) outpatient facility, which opens October of 2012. Her interests include general dermatology, cosmetic dermatology and surgery.
Doris Duke Fellow, Heather Holahan
Heather Holahan recently joined Dermatology Research in the Fairley Lab as a Doris Duke Clinical Research Fellow after completing her third year of medical school at UMDNJ in Newark, New Jersey. Heather received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from New York University and returned two years later after working in psychiatry research, to complete her postbaccalaureate studies in pre-medicine. Heather is currently investigating the role that eosinophils play in the pathogenesis of Bullous pemphigoid. She will return to her medical school next July and would like to pursue a career in academic dermatology.
