Iowa's University
Center for Excellence
on Disabilities
The University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research, and Service (UCEDD) are a network of interdisciplinary programs that advance policy and practice for and with people with disabilities, their families, and communities. Found in every state and territory, they have been making a difference in communities throughout the United States for more than 40 years.
CDD was chosen to be Iowa's UCEDD program in 1972, and this has broadened the ways we are able to provide services throughout the state of Iowa.
Working with local, state, and national capacity so that all Iowans, including Iowans with disabilities, can participate as members of their communities.
