A reception was held on August 29th in the MERF Atrium for Darrell Wilkins, who served as Coordinator of the University of Iowa Deeded Body Program from 1996 until his retirement in 2013.  Darrell oversaw an exceptional program that has served thousands of students over the years here at Iowa and at other institutions of higher learning.  He developed the Deeded Body Program Memorial site at Oakland Cemetery and leaves a legacy of excellence in our department. Darrell came to the University of Iowa 1993 to serve as a Mortician on the Deeded Body Program staff.  He was promoted to Coordinator in 1996. Darrell was the recipient of a well-deserved UI Outstanding Staff Award in 2002 for his exceptional stewardship of the Program. Darrell and his wife Suzette plan to retire to their property in Tennessee and enjoy the great outdoors, retirement, and their grandchildren.
