Clinical Suite, Sahai Medical Education Center

Iowa launched a new era in medical education with the opening of the Sahai Medical Education Center in the Medical Education and Biomedical Research Facility.

Thanks to multi-function suites that can be converted to as many as 17 fully equipped and wired exam rooms, an entire class can complete their exams in just two weeks.

Digital video technology makes recording the sessions easier and means faculty mentors can access the recordings via the computer network.

Students monitoring the sessions from a control room learn from their peers' experiences, and simulated patient instructors can review their sessions with students.
